Xtend Barre Beginners
Participants perform toning exercises with light weights to sculpt the arms and back; basic ballet repertoire at the barre to tone & stretch the glutes, thighs and calves; and Pilates-inspired core exercises on the mat to flatten abdominals. Those with little or no dance experience will be guided carefully through exercises with explanations of ballet terminology and postural cues. Coordination, balance and endurance will also be challenged. Start your journey to a sculpted, lean physique here!
Xtend Barre Express
A 45-mins quickie barre fix during lunch hour.
An introduction to classical ballet steps and techniques utilising the barre. You will develop a lean sculpted body with better flexibility, posture and stamina. Ballet terminology will be introduced along with safe stretching methods to attain proper alignment. Great for both beginners who are just starting out and experienced Upsiders who seek to master the releve!
Xtend Barre Stick
Xtend Barre Stick is a challenging repertoire that uses a specifically designed hand-held bar. It is attached to a ballet bar using a spring and provides an intense, resistance based workout. Each class comprises of cardio exercises to warm you up before focusing on your upper body, lower body and abdominals. It draws upon the fundamentals of the original workout as you tone and sculpt your body with a high-intensity cardio workout. The spring based resistance adds the challenge of Pilate’s stability, core training and cardio conditioning.
