Aerial Accelerator Workshop | 5-Week Series

Elevate your practice with Janie in this 5-Week Aerial Accelerator Workshop. Starting 31 August, we will be introducing a series of Aerial workshops every Saturday for 5 consecutive weeks to guide you from the basics to a new height.

Clients are able to enrol for all 5 weeks or pick-and-choose individual workshops to enrol. Ala-carte enrolment available - $80 for each 2-hour workshop. We strongly recommend clients to enrol for all 5 weeks.

#1 Basics and Foundations - 31 Aug (Sat), 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Have you ever wanted to try Aerial Yoga or maybe you've taken a few classes and need to refine your skills? This workshop is designed to introduce students to the building blocks of aerial yoga and to help you build confidence and trust in not only the aerial hammock but also yourself. You will gain body awareness and find more ease with postures and transitions. No experience is necessary! Just bring an open heart and an open mind.

#2 Restorative Mellow Flow - 7 Sept (Sat), 2.30pm to 4.30pm

This workshop is a restorative style class designed for students of all levels looking to slow down their practice and use the aerial fabric closer to the ground. If you've tried aerial yoga and you love it but could do without all those pull-ups and planks OR if you've never touched an aerial fabric but you dream of floating upside down, this workshop is for you.
Focus on using the fabric to work out the kinks in all of those hard to reach areas of tension in the legs, pelvis, and spinal column. We'll warm-up and stretch both in and out of the fabric, while taking our time to rejuvenate the body, re-hydrate the spine, and bring blood to the brain. At the end of class, expect a long, loving savasana, before we turn you back upright and send you off refreshed and ready to conquer your week.

#3 Core and Conditioning - 14 Sept (Sat), 2.30pm to 4.30pm

In this workshop you will ignite your core, get strong and find balance in body and mind...all while balancing in and out of the hammock. Expect to acquaint yourself with muscles you never knew you had and leave feeling invigorated and walking tall. Options will be offered as confidence in the hammock grows. However, this workshop is not appropriate for first time flyers. Take at least 3-5 beginners aerial yoga classes first to be able to invert with the hammock at the sacrum with minimal instruction.

#4 Hammock Playground - 21 Sept (Sat), 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Get ready to explore tricks, rolls and flips while soaring through creative sequencing. This workshop offers time for exploration, play and finding your own groove while still challenging your body and mind. As children we learn through play and we are still capable of this as adults. You don't need to be an expert to take this workshop, but be prepared to push yourself to the next level. This workshop is not appropriate for first time flyers.
Please take at least 3-5 beginner level classes and be able to invert with the fabric at the sacrum without instruction. (The intro to aerial yoga workshop will cover the basics for aerial yoga and will help you become more familiar and confident with the aerial hammock)

#5 Dance & Grace - 28 Sept (Sat), 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Aerial Dance combines strength and elegance bringing more grace and creativity to your aerial practice. In this workshop students will learn to use the aerial hammock to create elegant shapes and beautiful inversions from yoga inspired poses to choreographed dance sequencing. The workshop will start with a warm-up emphasizing strength, flexibility and alignment, and will continue by introducing elements of progressive choreography with the hammock. This workshop is not appropriate for first time flyers.
Please take at least 3-5 beginner aerial yoga classes or the Intro to Aerial Yoga Workshop and be able to do an inversion with the fabric at the sacrum without instruction.
